Scouts Holiday Party (Dec 21st)

Just a reminder that we will be celebrating the festive season this Wednesday at St. Basil’s Cultural Centre (10819 71 Ave. – the same place we had our Halloween party). We understand that this week is a busy one for school holiday concerts, and will certainly understand if you cannot make it. For those who can come, we have planned a fun evening of crafts, treats, seasonal-themed games and holiday singing. Parents, feel free to join us for a holiday singalong at about 7:40 p.m. as we close out the year in style.


We are back at the School on January 11, 2017 at 6:30 PM.  Please have a fun and happy holidays and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Scout Skate (Dec 7th)

We will be meeting at the George S. Hughes Arena at 10525-72 Ave. we will be there for public skate from 6:30 to 7:30. To maximize the skate time feel free to show up before 6:30 to put your skates on.

Lashing 101 (Nov 23rd)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week.  Since we mastered knots we will be begin working on our lashing skills and next week furniture making.

Fun with Knots (Nov 16th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week.  Scouts will begin the basic skill building this week.  First step is to know your essential knots.  Scouts are reminded to bring their notebooks.

Scouts Halloween Party (Nov 2nd)

It is time for us to put on our best costume and have a fun and scary 24th Parkallen Halloween Party.

Our meeting will be at St. Basil's Cultural Centre  10819-71 Ave starting at 6:30 pm in the Pioneer Room.

Scout Swim 2016 (Oct 26th)

Scouts will be going for a swim this week at the Commonwealth Recreation Centre Pool (11000 Stadium Road, attached to the Commonwealth Stadium, home of the Edmonton Eskimos!!!!) starting at 6:30 PM. Please dress warm and bring change for the locker rental.

Scouts Annual Fall Nature Walk (Oct 12th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week to take part in our annual Fall Nature Walk through the Parkallen Neighbourhood. We will be delivering flyers for our upcoming Bottle Drive / Food Bank Drive taking place on October 15th. Please dress in uniform and dress for the weather.

No Scouts Meeting this Week (Oct 5th)

We do not have a regular Scouts meeting this week.  We will be back at the Parkallen School on October 12th at our regular meeting time.

Scouts Fall Camp Prep (Sep 28th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week.  We will be going over camp activity preparations.  Please bring your notebook and pencils for this meeting.

Scouts Getting Corny (Sep 21st)

The Scouts will be taking on a challenge from the Vents, Cubs and Beavers on who has better skills at navigating.  Best place to do this challenge is to enter the Corn Maze.  Our two Scout Patrols will be competing against each other as well.  Please arrive at 6:20 pm at the Edmonton Corn Maze and dress for the weather and bring a flashlight.

Scouts Planning Meeting (Sep 14th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week.  We will be continuing our planning for Fall Camp and our program for the year.

Scouts Swim Up (Apr 27th)

We will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park (11904 Emily Murphy Park Road NW) at the sheltered Picnic Site (on your left when you enter the park). We will be holding our Swim Up Ceremony and Volunteer Appreciation that evening. There will be plenty of food and fun for the whole family. The fun starts at 6:30 PM.

Scouts Swim-Up Prep Cont. (Apr 20th)

Scoutss will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week for our final meeting before Swim-Up.  Last day for planning the menu and camp prep list for the Great Edmonton Scout Camp.

Scouts - Swim Up Prep (Apr 13th)

Scouts will be meeting this week to plan for their camps and prepare for Swim-Up.  3rd Year Cubs will be joining the Scouts this week to see what its like to be a Scout.

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week to take part in our annual Spring Nature Walk through the Parkallen Neighbourhood. We will be delivering flyers for our upcoming Bottle Drive / Food Bank Drive taking place on April 9th. Please dress in uniform and dress for the weather.  We will need parent volunteers to help out at this meeting.

Scouts Pottery (Mar 23rd)

This week  the Scouts will be meeting at Crankpots (10702 82 Ave, NW, Edmonton) for a night of painting.  Just a reminder that there is no meeting on March 30th.

Scouts - Spring Hike (Mar 16th)

Since Spring has come early and the weather has been great it is time to go on a nature walk.  Scouts will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park at 6:30 pm by the main building.  Please dress for the weather and after the hike we will have a fire.

Scouts U of A Scavenger Hunt (Mar 9th)

Since the weather is soooooo warm and nice our Scouts will be visiting the University of Alberta for a scavenger hunt. We will be meeting at 6:30 PM in front of the Administrative Building (Building 67).  Parking is $5 at Education Car Park (Building 104).   Please dress for the weather.

Winter Camp Prep - Scouts (Feb 17th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week to work on their winter camp preparations.  Scouts will be making a packing list (checking it twice), meal plan and activities they want to do.  Bring a note book and pencil.

Scouts will be meeting this week at the Parkallen School.  We will be planning the activities for the camp, camp packing list and skill development.  Scouts are reminded to bring their note books for this week's meeting.

Knots & Camp Skills (Feb 3rd)

Since last meeting was a fun games night, this week's meeting at the Parkallen School the scouts will be working on their knots and camp skills.  Scouts are reminded to plan their Bowling night with the leaders this week.

Games Night (Jan 27th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week for the annual games night.  Scouts are reminded to bring their favorite game (age and content appropriate) tonight.

Skills Test (Jan 20th)

Scouts will be meeting a the Parkallen School this week to test their skills.  The Scout Leaders have found some interesting knots for the youth to learn that will help them with camps and other activities.

Badges!!!!!! (Jan 13th)

Scouts will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week to test for some Badges.  Please have you testing materials and books with you this week.

Scouts First Meeting of 2016 (Jan 6th)

Scouts will be meeting this week at the Parkallen School begin work on camps they want to attend, program and projects for 2016.
